We are so excited to announce the completion of the Mercy Home that will be a home to the orphaned children.  It is our goal to raise these children in a loving atmosphere and mentor them into adulthood.  Below you will notice the recent job posting for our House Mother.  Please join us in prayer for the Mother God leads us to.

Kenya Connection Kids is a Children’s Home registered in Kenya by the Ministry of Labour, Social Security protection. Registration Cs No. 000492. This Christian Charitable organization has a mission of raising Gods’ fearing children who will reflect Christ as they transform the world.
The Children’s Home is in the process of recruiting a House Mother who will be responsible of taking care of the vulnerable & orphaned kids residing at the Children’s Home. For the last 16 years this Children’s Home has been providing shelter and other basic needs for the needy children. When children no longer live with their family, we work with the community and the
government and other partners to provide them with loving supportive alternative care. These children are later  reintegrated into the society as stipulated in the children act of Kenya. We are located 2 KM below Chuka Hospital along Kathigiririni road at Rukindu village opposite County Girls’ Secondary School– Chuka Tharaka Nithi County.

The KCK Mother is responsible for the care and development of the children within her KCK family. The Mother is the leader of the family and ensures the effective running of the household. She fulfils the role of a mother, providing affection and security, supporting each child according to his/her individual needs and guiding them towards self-sufficiency and independence. She shares her life with the children and provides the emotional security, affection and the opportunity to develop physically, mentally and spiritually. At the same time, the mother is a child-care professional who cooperates with the other KCK co-workers in meeting the needs of the children.
KCK Mother works within the framework of KCK Children’s Home Standards and Child Rights Based Approach.

➢ The prospective Mother should have a minimum of secondary school education
➢ Without strong family commitments and no dependants below the age of 10.
➢ Early childhood development education (ECDE) is an added advantage.
➢ 2 years’ work experience in taking care of vulnerable children.
➢ The mother should be ready to dedicate herself to work with children on a long-term
➢ Counselling skills
➢ Motherhood empathy (kindness)
➢ Must have a passion to help needy children.
➢ Ability to exercise Patience and Tolerance
➢ Conflict resolutions skills
➢ Age limit between 35 and 45 years
