Hellen Muthengi

Director of VBS & Prayer Ministry & Treasurer

Hellen is the director in charge of VBS & prayer ministry and also the Treasurer of the ministry. She is currently working with the ministry of Agriculture where she is so dedicated to working with farmers.

Hellen has a master’s degree agriculture and rural development from KEMU, a Bachelors of Science Degree in Agriculture from KEMU and a Diploma in Agriculture from JKUAT. She has also trained in Peace & Reconciliation, gender & human rights. She has a Honorary Diploma in theology. Hellen is passionate on teaching farmers on growing crops to increase food security.

She is a born again Christian and a church treasurer at Kiereni Presbyterian church as well as a Sunday school teacher. She is also a lay preacher in schools, colleges, and universities and has a heart for the lost and a great desire to bring more to the knowledge of Christ as Lord and Savior.

Hellen is married to Humphrey and are blessed with two children Alex Mwenda who has graduated from the University and Abigail Makena who has graduated from high school.

When Humphrey was away in the states, he communicated with her on the dream of ministering among the poor, the sick and disfranchised children in the community. Helen got so moved and ever since she has been recruit and rescuing vulnerable kids who needs sponsorship for food , clothes and other basic needs. She actually moved from village to village identifying the orphaned and the poorest of the poor kids.

Hellen is more involved with kids for spiritual development. She does more on counseling, mentoring, and role modeling. She is also involved in organizing the KCK annual camp and teaching the kids. Her passion and dedication to the KCK ministry is great.

‘I see a bright future in the kids as they join high school and a greater hope as they join colleges and am happy to be part of this,’ said Hellen.
